Coffee roaster, Brent Patton has outdone himself this year!
Java Jacks’ regulars are raving about how good the Camino Real Holiday Blend coffee is this year.
Now, I know that “Holiday Blend” might not sound fancy-schmancy, but this is an exquisite mix of African and Central American coffees that should be winning prizes.
That’s the good news.
The bad news is this: it will run out.
In fact, we might not ever see this particular roast again, ever. Here’s why: Brent creates a new Holiday Blend every single year. Sometimes he never knows exactly what he’s going to do with it until the day he does it.
I’m sure you know people who love to cook who make something amazing. And you ask them to do it again and they let you know that you just enjoyed one of a kind. It’s like that.
I for one wish he would roast it all year, but then it wouldn’t be near as special.
Here’s how you can try it to see if you agree with me (and a host of other coffee lovers)…
- Walk into Java Jacks and see if it’s posted up on the board as one of the coffee’s of the day. Order it if it is.
- If it’s not listed, ask for a “pour-over” of this specialty. The Java Jacks baristas will do a pour-over especially for you of any coffee in stock. And when they do this, they start from the whole bean, grind it for you, and make you a personal cup of coffee right there. It takes a few minutes, but it’s worth it.
- Just buy a bag, take it home and brew it at your convenience.
And it really is a special coffee to have at home for that special occasion. Great for your house guests who love coffee.
If you are unsure of how to get the most out of your brew, talk to any of the baristas. They will help or point you to someone who can.
Cheers Brent. You’ve roasted a winner.
I couldn’t refrain from commenting. Very well written!
I had myfriend Shannon from Nagadochess bring me some up to Canada…it is amazing. ..I will definstely order more when I run out
